It’s safe to get care during COVID-19

  

As we’ve learned more about COVID-19, we’ve changed the way we interact with others. We’ve been staying home to help keep ourselves and our loved ones safe. We’ve become more cautious. But even if you’re nervous or anxious about visiting your doctor’s office, it’s important to get the care you need.

In most cases, your doctor’s office is the best place to seek care first. If you have a medical emergency, don’t wait. Please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room right away.

Telehealth is a great option for getting care while keeping you and your care team safe. As a Sharp Direct Advantage® member, you can use certain telehealth services to receive care from your primary care physician. Simply call your doctor’s office when scheduling your appointment and request telehealth services.

  • Tip: When making a telehealth appointment, be sure to ask what types of technology are available, what you can expect during the visit, and what you can do ahead of time to make sure it goes smoothly.
