The Sharp Direct Advantage network is a group of doctors, hospitals and other medical service providers associated with your unique plan.

Your plan medical group / PMG

A plan medical group is a designated group of doctors and hospitals that’s associated with your network. Your PMG is set based on who you choose as your primary care physician. You have access to the specialists and facilities, like hospitals and urgent care centers, that are affiliated with your PMG.

• You only have access to one PMG at a time. In addition, referrals and prior authorizations do not transfer between PMGs.

Your primary care physician / PCP

Your primary care physician is your personal doctor. When you need a checkup or routine care, want advice about a health problem, or get sick or hurt, contact your PCP’s office. They provide care as soon as you need it, listen carefully and explain things in a way that is easy to understand. Your PCP also coordinates the care you receive from specialists and other providers.
