Who we cover

Sharp Health Plan currently offers individual Medicare Advantage plans that are open to all Medicare-eligible individuals who reside in San Diego County.

Group Medicare Advantage plans are also available to former employees of Sharp HealthCare and retirees of the City of San Diego (SDPEBA).

For your convenience, our office hours are 8 am to 8 pm Pacific Time, Monday through Friday. (From October through March, you can call 7 days a week.) Calling after-hours will direct you to our voicemail system, and a Customer Care representative will return your call the next business day.

Get care

At Sharp Health Plan, we are here to guide you to the right care at the right time. If you need to choose a Primary Care Physician (PCP), find a hospital, talk to a nurse or find other helpful information, we are here to help you get the care you need.



Pharmacy and prescription drugs

If you have prescriptions, we make it easy to search for covered medications, find a pharmacy close by, sign up to have your medications delivered to your door from our partner, Postal Prescription Services Mail Order, and learn of any recent recalls on medications.


How to appoint a representative

You may appoint any individual, including an attorney, to act as your representative to help you. A representative may be appointed at any time during the organization determination, coverage determination, appeals or grievance process.


Member rights and disenrollment

We at Sharp Health Plan want to make sure you learn about your member rights and also receive information about voluntary and involuntary disenrollment from a Sharp Direct Advantage plan.
