Easy ways to pay

Deductions icon

Social Security deductions

Individual Medicare plan members: You can make automatic payments using your Social Security benefits. To start or stop a deduction, contact Customer Care at 1-855-562-8853 (TTY/TDD: 711) and we’ll place a request for you.

Note: The Social Security Administration or Railroad Retirement Board will need to accept your request for automatic deductions. It can take 1-2 months for payments to begin, depending on when you submit your request. Check your monthly Social Security statement to ensure the payments are being deducted.

Automatic bank withdrawals

Send us your completed bank withdrawal pre-authorization form. This allows us to automatically withdraw your premium payment for you on the 3rd business day of every month. If the 3rd falls on a weekend or a holiday, we’ll withdraw payment on the next business day.

⚠️ To avoid overpaying, make sure you cancel any previously scheduled payments in our old payment portal before you set up new ones in your Sharp Health Plan online account.

  • Make your check payable to “Sharp Health Plan”.
  • Write your Member ID# on the check.
  • Use separate checks if you’re paying for more than one account.

You'll get a payment book in the mail after you enroll in Sharp Direct Advantage, if your plan has a monthly premium, or if you have late enrollment penalties from Medicare for calendar year 2023. If you get a payment book and prefer a different payment option, such as online or by phone, you do not need to use your payment book.

Starting with your January 2024 premium, you’ll receive monthly premium billing statements in the mail. Want to go paperless? Update your communication preferences in your online account.

  • If you set up automatic payments online, schedule your monthly payments between the 1st and the 25th.
  • We accept Visa®, MasterCard®, debit cards issued by Visa or MasterCard, checks, money orders, cash, bank wire and ACH payments (e-check).
